In a significant move, Hampden Bank, formerly known as Hampden & Co, has relocated its Edinburgh headquarters to a stunning new office at 20 and 21 Charlotte Square, marking a pivotal moment in the bank’s history. This strategic shift not only underscores the bank’s commitment to growth but also reflects its evolving identity as a premier private banking institution in the UK.

The relocation from the previous address at 9 Charlotte Square, where Hampden & Co first opened its doors in 2015, signifies a decade of remarkable growth and expansion. The new double-townhouse office, situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s financial district, embodies a blend of contemporary design and heritage charm. Developed by The Charlotte Square Collection, the building is described as “a pinnacle of contemporary design in a heritage setting,” offering open-plan floors, original stair cores, and a state-of-the-art auditorium for hosting events.

Tracey Davidson, CEO of Hampden Bank, highlighted the necessity of the relocation, stating, “Our growth over the last 10 years has led to a need for larger offices. The move, across Edinburgh’s Charlotte Square to beautifully renovated buildings, provides collaborative and communal spaces for colleagues and room for further growth.” Davidson also revealed plans to relocate the bank’s London office later this year, emphasizing that both new locations will feature impressive entertainment spaces designed to welcome clients, shareholders, and partners.

The rebranding from Hampden & Co to Hampden Bank is more than a name change; it represents a refined identity and vision for the institution. According to Davidson, “The update to our name reflects our identity and vision for the Bank and more clearly communicates our unwavering focus on banking with the highest standards of service.” This shift aims to align the bank’s branding with its commitment to exceptional client service and high-quality banking standards.

As Hampden Bank prepares to release its 2024 annual results next month, it is poised to report continued growth, a testament to its robust performance. The bank will also celebrate its 10-year anniversary in June, marking a decade of delivering outstanding banking services to its clients.

The relocation and rebranding of Hampden Bank signal a significant milestone in the bank’s journey, reflecting its growth, vision, and commitment to excellence. As it embarks on this new chapter, Hampden Bank is well-positioned to continue delivering high-quality banking services while expanding its presence in the UK financial landscape.
